Busy, Busy, Busy!

So sorry for taking so long to post! We have been so busy! The last two weeks have been filled with school, soccer practice, a soccer game, many TAMUC Lion sporting events, tons of artwork, and painting pumpkins. Ace has mastered potty training! He even goes in a public restroom:) He has been doing a great job at soccer practice! He did have trouble at our first game. Hoping there are no tears and lots of participation this Saturday. Ace is still kind of upset about going to school, but I think he really likes it once he's there:) He has been singing tons of songs:  Days of the week, Going on a bear hunt, Apple Annie, and Rise and shine most recently. He loves art! He is always so excited to show us his work:) He loves to write. He is great at writing his name and several other letters plus a few numbers.

Both boys are pretty excited to show off their pumpkin ideas this year! More to come...

Big Boy Ace!

I am so proud of Ace! He finally decided to use the potty. He has been potty trained for a little over two weeks now. We are thrilled and he is so proud of himself! He still prefers not to go at school, but will if he has to. Huge improvement! He is liking school more, and he is so cute when he does crisscross applesauce and holds a bubble:) I wish I had a picture of that! He is doing a great job writing his letters, and we always love his art!

Pop and Polly came to visit last weekend for Daddy's birthday. The boys really enjoyed their time with them! Ace really likes soccer practice with Jett and Coach Daddy too. He actually played a good bit at practice this week. He did take an extended water break with Zoe, and Daddy wasn't too happy with him. Momma does think an hour is just a little bit too long for practice:) We are so proud of our big boy!

Sockman:)

Ace wanted Daddy to have superheroes. Ace colored them really well!

Daddy loved his card & gift.

Waiting for his turn.

Ace loves his Johnny Appleseed hat!

Preschool Isn't So Bad;)

Ace is finally starting to get the hang of this "school" thing:) Last week was better since it was a short holiday week. Monday was the first day with no tears. He now has 2 friends that I know of, Zoe and Madelyn, and he LOVES art! Art is his last activity of the day. Ace gets pretty upset with me if I try to pick him up before he is finished with his projects:) I'm just so happy that he really likes at least one part of school! We are still working on potty training. He went for the first time at school today...yay!

We really enjoyed our holiday weekend at G and Opa's house. Both boys were super excited to swim. They swam every day we were there, and we went to Jumping World for the first time. Ace really enjoyed running and jumping in the 5 and under area...not so much in the bigger area with Momma. So far, we've been to our first Lion football game complete with bounce houses, parachuters, and fireworks. Also, we've been to 2 Lion soccer games. Ace loved running around with Sophie! We are excited for our first volleyball game on Friday. There will be many more events to come!

Preschool!

Ace started 3 year old preschool on Monday this week. He cried the first day when we dropped him off. Bless his heart, he cried what he called "happy tears" when I picked him up. He was super excited to spend Tuesday at home with Momma:) Wednesday, he ran right over to his teacher. He was pretty happy to see me after his nap. Today was the first time he's eaten anything at school. He went right in and sat down to eat his cheerios! Ace loves his outside playtime and art! He has really done well this week. So proud of the strides he's made!

Ace wasn't too sure about starting school.

Ace loves his nap mat and batman backpack!

He was so proud of his school work! It went straight onto the refrigerator:)

1st Official Tee Ball Season

This year Ace officially played tee ball. Coach Jenna was sweet last year and let Ace practice with the team. He was the bat boy during games, and she let him bat the last game. He loved it! This year he was ready. He really liked that Daddy helped Coach David this year:) He loves to bat and run the bases! He was number 13, so he ran to 1st after his at bat. Then after Jett batted, he got to run the rest of the bases without stopping:)

Oh What a Summer!

We had the busiest summer! We started off with a trip to Orlando with Daddy for his meetings. We had a blast at the pool while Daddy worked. On our way back, we stopped in Orange Beach for some beach/family time. The boys loved the beach this year! I went back to coaching swim team during the week, and we missed Daddy while he was away on some work trips. We took an afternoon to visit Legoland in Grapevine. The boys had a blast! The boys officially learned to swim 4th of July weekend at G and Opa's house. All they want to do is swim! We go to the rec center pool quite often, and the children's museum too. We are loving all the new improvements at the children's museum! We ended July with a trip to Branson with Pop and Polly and Uncle Adam and Aunt Caitlin. The boys really enjoyed racing go carts and swimming. We finished our trips with a trip to Tennessee the first part of August. We had such a great time! We always love our time there and really enjoyed seeing Grandmother and Grandaddy, Uncle Mark and Aunt Shon, Madison, Mawmaw and Pawpaw, Aunt Cindy and Uncle Sneaky, Claire and Avery.  Aunt Winnie and Uncle Robot came to see us too!  The boys keep asking when we go back:) We have really enjoyed our summer!

Ace has really grown up! Just looking back at the pictures from his 3rd birthday party ...oh my! Ace will be starting preschool for 3 year olds on Monday. For the first time, I actually think he's ready. I am hoping that this perfectly capable little boy will then decide to use the potty. Who knows! He got a double dose of stubborn. Ace is really excited about school! I'm hoping that spending some time with new friends three days a week will help him not miss his brother so much:( Ace has really begun to enjoy art. He loves to draw and color. He learned to write his name this summer. Ace is a pro at the A and c, the e gives him trouble every now and then:) He also loves to read, especially from his children's Bible. Ace and learned to swim this summer at G and Opa's house. I think he wanted to do something before Jett. He did! Brother followed shortly.  I didn't think we'd ever get him out of the pool that day. He still loves to swim, but only when the water isn't too cold:) Ace also really likes baseball, soccer, basketball, and football. He loves going to practice with Daddy and tackling the big blue dummy! Ace has really enjoyed this summer, and we are excited about all the changes this school year!
