Preschool!

Ace started 3 year old preschool on Monday this week. He cried the first day when we dropped him off. Bless his heart, he cried what he called "happy tears" when I picked him up. He was super excited to spend Tuesday at home with Momma:) Wednesday, he ran right over to his teacher. He was pretty happy to see me after his nap. Today was the first time he's eaten anything at school. He went right in and sat down to eat his cheerios! Ace loves his outside playtime and art! He has really done well this week. So proud of the strides he's made!

Ace wasn't too sure about starting school.

Ace loves his nap mat and batman backpack!

He was so proud of his school work! It went straight onto the refrigerator:)

1st Official Tee Ball Season

This year Ace officially played tee ball. Coach Jenna was sweet last year and let Ace practice with the team. He was the bat boy during games, and she let him bat the last game. He loved it! This year he was ready. He really liked that Daddy helped Coach David this year:) He loves to bat and run the bases! He was number 13, so he ran to 1st after his at bat. Then after Jett batted, he got to run the rest of the bases without stopping:)

Oh What a Summer!

We had the busiest summer! We started off with a trip to Orlando with Daddy for his meetings. We had a blast at the pool while Daddy worked. On our way back, we stopped in Orange Beach for some beach/family time. The boys loved the beach this year! I went back to coaching swim team during the week, and we missed Daddy while he was away on some work trips. We took an afternoon to visit Legoland in Grapevine. The boys had a blast! The boys officially learned to swim 4th of July weekend at G and Opa's house. All they want to do is swim! We go to the rec center pool quite often, and the children's museum too. We are loving all the new improvements at the children's museum! We ended July with a trip to Branson with Pop and Polly and Uncle Adam and Aunt Caitlin. The boys really enjoyed racing go carts and swimming. We finished our trips with a trip to Tennessee the first part of August. We had such a great time! We always love our time there and really enjoyed seeing Grandmother and Grandaddy, Uncle Mark and Aunt Shon, Madison, Mawmaw and Pawpaw, Aunt Cindy and Uncle Sneaky, Claire and Avery.  Aunt Winnie and Uncle Robot came to see us too!  The boys keep asking when we go back:) We have really enjoyed our summer!

Ace has really grown up! Just looking back at the pictures from his 3rd birthday party ...oh my! Ace will be starting preschool for 3 year olds on Monday. For the first time, I actually think he's ready. I am hoping that this perfectly capable little boy will then decide to use the potty. Who knows! He got a double dose of stubborn. Ace is really excited about school! I'm hoping that spending some time with new friends three days a week will help him not miss his brother so much:( Ace has really begun to enjoy art. He loves to draw and color. He learned to write his name this summer. Ace is a pro at the A and c, the e gives him trouble every now and then:) He also loves to read, especially from his children's Bible. Ace and learned to swim this summer at G and Opa's house. I think he wanted to do something before Jett. He did! Brother followed shortly.  I didn't think we'd ever get him out of the pool that day. He still loves to swim, but only when the water isn't too cold:) Ace also really likes baseball, soccer, basketball, and football. He loves going to practice with Daddy and tackling the big blue dummy! Ace has really enjoyed this summer, and we are excited about all the changes this school year!

Backtracking: Ace's 3rd Birthday

Per Ace's request, we had a small super hero birthday party at our house. He's pretty adamant these days about what he wants:) He was happy that G, Opa, & Uncle Indy came from Houston. We were also so happy that our neighbors and friends the Fergusons & Jorgensens could come. Ace was really happy that his grown up friend Taylor could come too:) Daddy did a great job on the burgers and hot dogs. The cake & ice cream was super yummy too! Ace loved all of his presents, and it was a beautiful day to play outside with his friends! I can't believe my little man is 3!

So happy about his Avengers cake!

Ace really enjoyed opening presents this year:)

Strawberry Picking with G & Opa

I'm a little behind again. A few weeks ago we went to Houston with Daddy for his work. After watching some basketball,  we got to hang out at G & Opa's house for a bit. We all decided to go to Froberg's Farm and pick strawberries. We had a great time filling our buckets! Ace ate a few bowls of strawberries with his lunch:)

Last Day of Our Children's Museum Class

I'm sad to say that today was our last Healthy Kids A-Z Class at the Children's Museum. This was our third session after starting last Spring. This was one of the first places we found friends:) Jett made great strides in this class. He now sings and dances proudly, and he has no problem doing crafts without me. Ace has also grown a lot. He started class last Spring with his "bobble" always in his mouth. He has grown from a baby into a little boy. He still doesn't sing or dance with the other kids, but he loves story time and will occasionally do the crafts on his own. He never lets Momma get too far away though. Ace loves snack time, and he is always willing to try something new. We will miss class, but we will continue to meet our friends weekly at the Children's Museum:) It is one of our favorite places!
