Hollywood & Vine

We had our first character dining experience at Hollywood & Vine at Hollywood Studios.  I really thought the boys would love it & they did!  They love watching Disney Junior in the mornings, and at lunch they got to meet some of their favorite characters.  Special Agent Oso, Handy Manny, Jake from the Neverland Pirates, and June from Little Einsteins were all there.  They played lots of songs from these shows, and the kids got to sing & dance with the characters.  It was a wonderful experience, and the food was good too!

My 3 guys waiting patiently for our table.

 Five for Oso:)

Ace really liked Special Agent Oso!

Ace was not happy.  It was definitely nap time!

Acting silly with Jett after lunch.

Day 2: Hollywood Studios

On our second day, we went to Disney's Hollywood Studios, formerly MGM.  I believe this was everyone's favorite park.  Hollywood Studios has lots of shows and a really great parade.  We met Phineas & Ferb, one of the army men from Toy Story, and Lightning McQueen & Mater.  We saw lots of our favorite characters in the Disney/Pixar parade.  We had a character lunch at Hollywood & Vine.  That will have it's own blog entry:)  We watched a really cool car stunt show that featured Lightning McQueen, which we all loved!  I think the boys liked the shows the best (can't beat air conditioning).  We watched Beauty & the Beast, The Little Mermaid, The Muppets, and the boys' favorite, Disney Junior.  They were all great!  Ace really liked watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, and Jake & the Neverland Pirates at the Disney Junior show.  He slept through all of Beauty & the Beast.  He was pretty exhausted by that point.  After heading back to the hotel, we finished Hollywood Studios by watching "Fantasmic," their lights & water show.  It was at 9 & Ace slept through that one too:)

Day 1: Magic Kingdom

It's been awhile since my last post.  I am really trying to do better.  We are so busy these days!
We spent our first day at Magic Kingdom.  We were all pretty excited!  Ace didn't know how much fun he was going to have.  Our first stop was to get a stroller, very smart move.  We rode "It's a Small World" first, and Ace loved it!  He wanted to jump out, and go for a swim instead of riding the boat, but eventually got over it & just enjoyed the children & animals:)  Jett screamed almost the whole time.  They are so different!  After our first ride, we went back to exchange our stroller for a double.  Best decision ever!  Ace was pretty bummed that he didn't get to drive the Indy cars with Jett, but we enjoyed watching for him & waving.  Ace really enjoyed Buzz Lightyear's Space Adventure.  He liked all of the characters from a distance.  He liked Mickey Mouse and Tinkerbell & Terrence up close:)  Ace also really liked the "Wishes" firework show at the castle.  It was a great first day!

Ace loved the giraffes in It's a Small World!

Jett, Ace, & Momma with Pluto.  The boys weren't too sure about the big dog!

We love Tinkerbell!  Too bad Daddy's eyes were closed.

Disney's Allstar Movies Resort

We took our family vacation to Disney World this year.  We left on May 1st & came back on May 6th.  We had an awesome time!  Our first night, we spent a lot of time at the resort.  The boys loved the car/racing theme of our Herbie the Love Bug section.  They also really liked the Toy Story themed section of the resort.  We spent nearly every evening in Andy's Room.  Ace probably would've been plenty happy just staying at the resort.  He loved hiding under the nightstand in our room, he loved the pool, and he loved Herbie & all of the Toy Story characters!  Add a few shows to all that, and he would've been set!
Ace also really liked the monorail.  I believe that he & Jett will both love the Polynesian Resort next year!

Ace loved hiding under our nightstand:)

Ace did not want to let go of Herbie!

Ace & Jett loved hiding in between Buzz's blocks!

Ace was determined to climb up on Buzz's shoes.

The boys sat in RC in Andy's Room nearly every day.

The Houston Zoo

Ace really enjoyed our trip to the Houston Zoo.  Ace was old enough this time to really enjoy the animals.  He really liked the fish, elephants, and giraffes.  Although, I think he liked the Houston city birds just as much!  Ace was standing up against the glass looking at the chimpanzees when one decided to come over.  Ace was okay until he got really close!

Ace really enjoyed his Daddy time:)

Ace moving backward as the chimpanzee came closer!

The elephants.  Jett named them Daddy, Momma, Jett & Ace:)

We spent a lot of time looking at the giraffes.

Jett & Ace really liked the fish.  They found Nemo & Dorie!

Egg Hunt at the Cowboy's Baseball Game

We had our second Easter egg hunt at the McNeese State baseball game.  The interns worked really hard stuffing all of those eggs!  I believe there were 250.  Pretty sure my boys ended up with a quarter of them!  Ace had Paul bringing the eggs to him:)  It was so hot that day!  You can tell by his rosy red cheeks!

 Really Mom??  I'm busy!

 Happy with his collection.

He dumped them out & apparently likes the purple ones.

 What to do with these?

Ace has Paul doing all of the work:)

Josh & Angela brought baby Duke down to visit with us:)  Ace is thinking, "Dude, you can have him!"

Easter

This is the first of Ace's Easter posts.  We had several egg hunts this year & lots of pictures.  Ace is my little cleaner, so he loved hunting eggs.  He loved picking them up & putting them in his pail.  He really liked the baby rabbits at church, but was terribly upset that he did not get to hold one.  He lost his chance the moment he decided to pull the ears:)  The owners of the baby rabbits were not happy.

Lots of eggs to choose from!

 How many do I have?

Maybe I should add a few more:)

 There's my happy boy!

One smile & the thinker with a rabbit.
