Backtracking: Ace's 3rd Birthday

Per Ace's request, we had a small super hero birthday party at our house. He's pretty adamant these days about what he wants:) He was happy that G, Opa, & Uncle Indy came from Houston. We were also so happy that our neighbors and friends the Fergusons & Jorgensens could come. Ace was really happy that his grown up friend Taylor could come too:) Daddy did a great job on the burgers and hot dogs. The cake & ice cream was super yummy too! Ace loved all of his presents, and it was a beautiful day to play outside with his friends! I can't believe my little man is 3!

So happy about his Avengers cake!

Ace really enjoyed opening presents this year:)

Ace was super excited!

Strawberry Picking with G & Opa

I'm a little behind again. A few weeks ago we went to Houston with Daddy for his work. After watching some basketball,  we got to hang out at G & Opa's house for a bit. We all decided to go to Froberg's Farm and pick strawberries. We had a great time filling our buckets! Ace ate a few bowls of strawberries with his lunch:)

Last Day of Our Children's Museum Class

I'm sad to say that today was our last Healthy Kids A-Z Class at the Children's Museum. This was our third session after starting last Spring. This was one of the first places we found friends:) Jett made great strides in this class. He now sings and dances proudly, and he has no problem doing crafts without me. Ace has also grown a lot. He started class last Spring with his "bobble" always in his mouth. He has grown from a baby into a little boy. He still doesn't sing or dance with the other kids, but he loves story time and will occasionally do the crafts on his own. He never lets Momma get too far away though. Ace loves snack time, and he is always willing to try something new. We will miss class, but we will continue to meet our friends weekly at the Children's Museum:) It is one of our favorite places!

Preparing to do the parachute. Ace & Jacob are figuring things out;)

Watching the hummus being made.

Patiently waiting for the blending to be done.

2013

We had quite a 2013!  We moved to Commerce, Texas the week of Jett's birthday. The boys really did adjust well. We spent our first 6 months in the duplex while we found and renovated our house. We were so happy to move into our new house! Both boys were super excited to finally have some space. We have wonderful neighbors and a great neighborhood! Ace really loves our playroom, playing outside with his friends and the Children's Museum. We've had a lot of fun so far since moving to Texas!

 Mommy time:)

Soaking wet & a little cold after the slip & slide at the duplex.

Halloween 2012

Halloween was great this year!  The boys were so cute as Woody 1 & Woody 2.  Ace loved being Woody!  Opa's boots fit really well now & Ace has been wearing them pretty regularly.  He loves stomping around.  We started our trick or treating experience with the Fall Festival at The Children's Museum.  The boys had a great time!  Ace said trick or treat a few times, but mostly candy please:)  Both worked just fine.  The boys played for a while before we headed to campus to pick up Daddy.  There were lots of activities set up for kids.  Ace was excellent at ring toss!  He piled up all of the rings on his Dr. Pepper:)  He really liked bowling too!  Ace was pretty cute bobbing for apples, even though he couldn't get the apple out.  After leaving campus, we stopped by the McClelland's to see Lawson & Grayson (Thing 1 & Thing 2).  The boys played for a little bit, we grabbed supper, & headed home to eat our candy.  We had a blast!

 Cute boy!

Ace loves pushing the buttons in the elevator!

Jett builds it, Ace knocks it down.

Ace was sad that the train wasn't running.

 We love the fire pole!

 Ace told me, "Mine alligator!"

Trying to find where he left his shopping cart.

Pumpkin Patch

The boys had a great time at the pumpkin patch this year!  They were so busy that it was hard to get a lot of pictures.  Ace loved the pumpkins & the scarecrows!  Jett requested a pirate pumpkin this year, so Daddy carved it, and Momma painted his eye patch & hat.  We had a great time!

 Looking for the perfect pumpkin:)

 "Cheese!"

 Ace loved the scarecrows!

 Sweet boys!

Fun at G & Opa's House

We had a lot of fun at G & Opa's house this summer!  Ace loves to swim & jump in the pool!  He also really enjoys the rock climbing wall & slide at the park in G & Opa's neighborhood.  I've included some of my favorite pictures from our visits this summer.
