Ace's 1st Birthday

Ace is one! He was adorable as always when he woke up on February 22, 2012. We had a pretty normal day beginning with breakfast and a morning nap. We had lunch with Daddy, and then a special treat of Jo's cupcakes for dessert. Ace loved his cupcake! Momma & Daddy loved theirs too! And as always, big brother Jett loved his icing:) Ace really enjoyed opening his presents too! He got the hang of it after Christmas. Ace loves his "choo choo!"

Ace's 1st Haircut

Ace got his first haircut the week before his birthday. Momma was hesitant, but Daddy was pretty adamant that we get rid of the "baby mullet." I wasn't quite ready for him to lose that baby hair and look like a big boy. He did awesome! Apparently Ace will do anything for a blue sucker! His hair turned out really cute, and Ace is just as handsome as he was before:)

Ace is such a ham! He always smiles for a picture. Ace is getting in to all kinds of things these days, and I'm doing my best to capture these moments for everyone to enjoy!

Christmas in Tennessee

We had a great time in Tennessee! It was so nice to see our family that lives so far away. This was the second time most everyone had seen Ace. He has changed a ton since July! We had Christmas at Grandmother's house first. Opa helped Ace open his presents. Ace loved his little push toy! He likes to dance to it's music! This was Ace's first year for Turtles. He already loves chocolate! Ace slept on Aunt Shon for a little while that afternoon. We went to Mawmaw & Pawpaw's house second. I'm not sure if Mawmaw or Claire was more excited to see Ace. Claire & Ace formed a special bond when she visited Louisiana in May. Mawmaw helped Ace open his presents. He & Jett loved the Elephant Popping Ball toy! Avery occupied Jett, so Ace could play. Aunt Cindy & Uncle Byron got Ace books & we love I Spy. Uncles Mark & Myles & cousins Madison & Jon Nathan popped in at Grandmother's later that week. Uncle Brian & Aunt Nicki & cousins Brianna & Addison made a special trip from Memphis to see the boys. Brianna loved playing Mommy with Ace. We really had a wonderful time!
